BW’s Master of Science in Exercise Physiology program is actively seeking candidates for its fall 2024 cohort. While applications are reviewed on a rolling basis for this program, candidates are encouraged to apply by November 1 for priority interview and admission consideration.

The Baldwin Wallace Master of Science in Exercise Physiology offers recent college graduates or working professionals the opportunity to advance to key positions in health, fitness, athletics, performance, rehabilitation and research. The BW exercise physiology program allows you to earn your master's degree in only 12 months, developing your knowledge and skills in relation to applied physiology and human performance.

In addition to job preparation, graduates of the exercise physiology program will be eligible to sit for certifications through the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.


Exercise Physiology Curriculum

The exercise physiology curriculum is offered in a hybrid format and can be completed in one year. Students will attend many classes online and laboratory classes in person to utilize equipment and apply their learning. All in-person class meetings will be in the evenings to allow students the ability to continue working while in the program.


Exercise Physiology Prerequisites

Baldwin Wallace University welcomes applications from candidates with a bachelor's degree in any area, however, all candidates must complete specific prerequisite courses to enroll in the Master of Science in exercise physiology program.


Apply for the Exercise Physiology Program

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university and a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA to be considered for the M.S. in exercise physiology program. The admission committee reviews candidates on a rolling basis. Eligible candidates will be invited to participate in an interview conducted on-campus or virtually.

To be evaluated for admission, candidates must submit:

  • Resume/CV
  • Three recommendations with at least one from a professor and one from a professional supervisor
  • Personal statement
