Students are considered full-time at BW when they take 12-18 credit hours per semester.

Explanation of Fees

¹ Students enrolled for more than 18 credits are charged the flat rate tuition plus $1,347 per credit for each credit that exceeds 18 in that semester.

² Listed cost is the combined total for a standard double room and the prime meal plan.

³ An annual $1,000 Student Activity Fee ($500 per semester) is applied to all full-time student accounts who first enrolled at BW in fall 2024 or any term thereafter. This fee is applied to the student balance, $500 each semester, and is eligible for financial aid support. This fee is not refundable. The fee is used to enhance the quality of activities that directly benefit students, including programs, services, student facility improvements, and events. These activities enrich the student experience, build community, and help students stay on track toward graduation.

• Variations on Student Activity Fee amount for other full-time students:
  • Full-time students who originally enrolled as first-year students at BW prior to fall 2024: $700 ($350 per semester)
  • Full-time students who originally enrolled as transfer students at BW prior to fall 2024: $350 ($175 per semester)
• Note: Students are charged the full cost of the Student Activity Fee, but they receive a credit that leads to the net cost of the fee as outlined.

⁴ A one-time $200 Onboarding Fee for first-year and transfer students provides access to online, virtual and in-person orientation and onboarding programs that ensure a successful start at BW. This fee is applied to the student balance and is not eligible for financial aid support. This fee is not refundable.

Program Fees

The following fees are not listed above and apply to full-time students described below:

• Conservatory (Bachelor of Music/Bachelor of Music Education) full-time program fee: Conservatory of Performing Arts students in either a Bachelor of Music program or Bachelor of Music Education program will be charged a $1,600 per-semester program fee to cover the cost of private lessons.
• Elective Private Lesson fee: Students who are not enrolled in either a Bachelor of Music program or Bachelor of Music Education program and elect to take a private lesson will be charged an $824 private lesson fee per semester.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering program fee: First-year and transfer students who enter the engineering program will be charged an annual program fee to cover the cost of student materials and supplies. Engineering students will also be charged a one-time toolkit fee.
  • Students who originally enroll at BW in fall 2025 will be charged the annual engineering program fee of $129 and the one-time toolkit fee of $155.
  • Students who originally enrolled at BW in fall 2024 will be charged the annual engineering program fee of $129.
  • Students who originally enrolled at BW prior to fall 2024 will not be charged engineering fees.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program fee: An additional fee is administered for each of the student's final five semesters in the BSN program. Items covered by the fee include: books (in the final five semesters), stethoscope, lab supplies, lab coat, uniforms, graduation items, and exit exams.
  • Students who originally enroll at BW in fall 2025 will be charged $915 per semester.
  • Students who originally enrolled at BW in fall 2024 will be charged $880 per semester.
  • Students who originally enrolled at BW prior to fall 2024 will be charged $700 per semester.

Students are considered part-time at BW when they take 1-11 credit hours per semester.

Explanation of Fees

Baldwin Wallace University's Master of Medical Science (MMS) physician assistant program has a comprehensive cost of $111,940 for the cohort beginning in May 2026. This total includes tuition, a $1,200 nonrefundable program fee, an $11,000 (estimated) clinical placement fee charged to BW by clinical host sites in the second year, access to electronic medical resources, consumable lab supplies, and fees for the following items:

Scholarships Through Choose Ohio First STEM Healthcare Scholars Program

The BW Choose Ohio First STEM Healthcare Scholars program is open to any Ohio resident entering Baldwin Wallace as a graduate student in one of our healthcare programs. Students are eligible to apply for the Choose Ohio First scholarship, which awards substantial annual, renewable financial support.

The total cost of BW's 2025-27 speech-language pathology program is $58,350, which includes tuition and a $4,635 nonrefundable program fee, all of which covers the following:

SLP Scholarship Awards

Qualified candidates who enroll in BW's speech-language pathology program for fall 2025 are eligible to receive a $5,000 SLP Scholarship Award. SLP scholarships will be awarded at the time an admission decision is made and are based on academic achievement, leadership and/or community service. No additional supplemental materials are required to be considered for an SLP Scholarship Award.

Scholarships Through Choose Ohio First STEM Healthcare Scholars Program

The BW Choose Ohio First STEM Healthcare Scholars program is open to any Ohio resident entering Baldwin Wallace as a graduate student in one of our healthcare programs. Students are eligible to apply for the Choose Ohio First scholarship, which awards substantial annual, renewable financial support.

Clinical Mental Health Counseling Scholarship

BW's clinical mental health counseling program has been awarded $250,000 through the Harding Family Charitable Trust. The first 25 students enrolled in the fall 2025 cohort will receive $10,000 toward their first year of tuition.

How to Audit Courses

BW alumni are welcome to audit courses provided seats are available in the classes. Alumni can contact registration & records at (440) 826-2126 or registrar@bw.edu the first day of each semester for information on registering for available seats. The seats and course choices are limited, but alumni audit affords local alumni a chance to expand their knowledge. Fees for alumni audit are nonrefundable.
