Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).

You will need a Federal Student Aid - ID (FSA ID) from the Department of Education to electronically sign your (FAFSA). If you are a dependent student, a parent will also need a Federal Student Aid – ID (FSA ID) to sign your FAFSA.

If additional information is required from you or your parents, the Financial Aid Office will contact you via your BW email address.

After reviewing your FAFSA and any other required information, you will receive your Financial Aid Award letter.

Be sure to review your Financial Aid Award Letter upon receipt.

Certain types of financial aid may require additional action by you or your parent.

Federal Direct Loans have requirements for first time loan borrowers before the funds can be disbursed to your BW student billing account.

Federal Direct Parent Loan - PLUS, Private education loans, or Federal Direct GradPLUS loans that are included as part of your Financial Aid Award require the borrower to request these funds each academic year. View detailed information on each loan program.

Families that are experiencing an unusual financial situation that is not reported on the FAFSA may submit additional information for review by downloading the "special circumstance review request" packet from our forms page and submitting all required information to the financial aid office for review.
