Biggest mistake as a first-year student? What did you learn? My biggest mistake I made was not putting myself out there to meet new people as much as I should have. I have learned that although putting yourself out there can be very scary at first, you gain so much from doing so.
How did you choose your major? I chose my major because Marketing combines research and the opportunity for creativity. It seemed to me like the best of both worlds and it was a perfect fit.
What has been your best experience at BW? My best experience at BW has been becoming part of this amazing community and finding my niche within that community. The feeling of community on this campus is unlike anything I have ever experienced previously.
Favorite spot on campus? My favorite spot on campus is the Cyber Cafe. I love to go there to do homework or hang out with my friends.
What is one thing you want the incoming students to know as they get ready for their summer orientation experience? It is okay to be nervous coming in. Transitioning to college is a big step in life and also a big accomplishment.
What is one major piece of advice you would give new incoming students to help them succeed in their first year at BW? Push yourself out of your comfort zone.
