Accredited Programs
- Engineering (General)

BW’s engineering major will follow standards aligned with the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) so that BW graduates may pursue Professional Engineer (PE) licensure. College and university programs are not eligible for ABET accreditation until after the first graduates have completed the program.
- Exercise Science

The exercise science major at Baldwin Wallace University is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Baldwin Wallace faculty is committed to program quality through alignment to the national standards set forth by CAAHEP which aligns to the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities that the Committee on Accreditation for the Exercise Sciences established to ensure programs develop knowledgeable and skilled practitioners in the field of sports science.
- Master of Public Health

The curriculum of the BW MPH program is closely aligned with the recommendations of the Council of Education for Public Health (CEPH), the nodal accreditation agency for public health education. Per accreditation guidelines, the program will seek accreditation by CEPH after graduating its first cohort. Accreditation is provided retrospectively.

All of BW’s education licensure programs, including endorsements in Reading and Computer/Technology, are approved by the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE).
Initial and advanced education licensure programs at Baldwin Wallace University are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
Initial Programs: Early Childhood Education (grades PK-5); Middle Childhood Education (grades 4-9), Adolescent Young Adult (grades 7-12) in Integrated Language Arts, Integrated Mathematics, Integrated Science, Integrated Social Studies, Life Sciences and Physical Sciences; Multi-Age Education (grades PK-12) in Foreign Language (French, German, and Spanish); Music; and Visual Arts; Intervention Specialist Mild/Moderate Educational Needs (grades K-12).

Because of the fluctuating requirements for licensure to teach in the various states, it is recommended that candidates for licensure check with departments of education in the states in which they intend to teach. This will give them the opportunity to schedule required courses wherever possible.

Baldwin Wallace University is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM). The Baldwin Wallace Music Therapy program is approved by the American Music Therapy Association.

The Baldwin Wallace University Accelerated BSN Program is fully approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing (OBN).
The baccalaureate degree in nursing at Baldwin Wallace University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (http://www.ccneaccreditation.org/).
- Physician Assistant Program

The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued status to the Baldwin Wallace University Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Baldwin Wallace University. Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.
Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be June 2026. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA policy.

The Master of Science (M.S.) education program in speech-language pathology at Baldwin Wallace University is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, 2200 Research Boulevard, #310, Rockville, MD 20850, 800-498-2071 or 301-296-5700.
Approved Plans of Study
Approved plans of study are provided to prepare students for graduate study or for professional schools of medicine, dentistry, law, engineering, theology, art, library science, social service work, medical technology, physical therapy and forestry.
Other Academic Affiliations
In addition, the University is on the approved lists of the American Chemical Society, Ohio College Association and American Association of University Women. It was approved by the Association of American Universities in 1931, and its credits are accepted wherever American college work is recognized. Baldwin Wallace is a member of the Association of American Colleges and Universities, the American Council on Education, Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education, and American Association of Colleges of Nursing.
