Biggest mistake as a first-year student? What did you learn? My biggest mistake as a first-year student was not efficiently managing my time. You have more breaks between classes in college as opposed to high school and I did not realize the importance of taking advantage of my breaks between classes to work on homework and be efficient.

How did you choose your major? I chose my major because I wanted to work in media and potentially work at a television station. I thought broadcasting would be a good major to help me learn aspects of the media industry.

What has been your best experience at BW? My best experience at BW was joining the board of directors at the radio station because that is where I met all of my closest friends at BW!

Favorite spot on campus? The Television Studio

What is the one thing you want the incoming students to know as they get ready for their summer orientation experience? I think incoming students should get excited and take this opportunity to form connections with other students- they could end up meeting one of their best friends!

What is one major piece of advice you would give new incoming students to help them succeed in their first year at BW? I would tell new students to get involved in different organizations because it is the easiest way to make new friends! Also, I would tell students to try something different and step outside of your comfort zone!
