The orientation session for transfer students is a full-day experience designed to help new transfer students with their transition to Baldwin Wallace. Transfer student orientation is for students entering BW in the fall.
Orientation is an important first step in your BW experience! It offers helpful information about college life, as well as the opportunity to meet other students, faculty and staff.
Transfer orientation will take place on Thursday, July 13, 2023.
Register for Orientation
Log in using your application account information. You will use the same username and password that you set up when you applied or viewed your application status. It works best if you use a computer for these tasks.
Schedule Overview
Check in begins at 9:30 a.m., and the day includes:
- Academic Breakout Sessions
- Resource Fair
- Overview of Student Services
- Residence Life and Commuter Student Information
- Parent and Family Presentations
Lunch and a continental breakfast will be served.
What to Bring
- BW username and password
- Sweatshirt or long-sleeved shirt for air conditioned spaces
- Laptop
FAQs
Is transfer orientation mandatory?
Yes, all new transfer students are required to participate.
Where do I park for orientation?
The most convenient place to park for orientation is near the BW Welcome Center and Union parking lot, located on Tressel Street.
Are parents or family members able to join me at orientation?
Yes, two parents and family may attend – though it is optional. Registration for their participation is required and can be done within the transfer orientation registration process.

Log in to MyBW to fill out all of your orientation paperwork. There are several forms to fill out, so be sure to fill them out as soon as possible.
You can find out more details about your deposit and login information on our "next steps for admitted students" page.
Also, MyBW will be the place you use to order your textbooks online, and track your academic progress.
- Checking Your BW Email

Checking your BW email is important, as this is this is the official means of communication from the University.
Over the summer, we recommend checking your BW email at least once a week to get used to logging into the system. We will also send important reminders to your BW email leading up to and after your orientation session. You will use the same username and password you created to complete your orientation paperwork.
