Carmel Family Endowed Conservatory Scholarship
In memory of:
Donna Carmel, May 21, 1931 — October 23, 2025
Bill Carmel, November 2, 1929 — July 25, 2026
Throughout their lives, Bill '52 and Donna '54 Carmel were committed to making a meaningful impact in their community and were generous supporters of Baldwin Wallace University. The Carmels have been providing annual scholarship support for numerous students each year for many decades. Recently, Bill made plans to ensure his and Donna’s strong tradition of philanthropy would continue well into the future.
The Carmel Family Endowed Conservatory Scholarship solidifies their long-standing commitment to student success and honors Bill and Donna’s love for Baldwin Wallace. The scholarship will eventually provide annual awards of $10,000 each to three talented students in the Conservatory of Performing Arts, benefiting countless students for generations to come.
This scholarship joins another recently established endowed scholarship — The Carmel Boyer School of Business Scholarship — created by Bill Carmel and George Boyer to support motivated, hard-working students enrolled in their namesake Carmel Boyer School of Business.
Since 1976, hundreds of BW alumni have financed and completed degrees with support from Bill and Donna Carmel, and their rich tradition, now marking 50 years, continues at their beloved alma mater.
The family appreciates contributions made in memory of Bill and Donna to the Carmel Family Endowed Conservatory Scholarship.
