Are you ready to make a difference? The nursing profession attracts people who want to make an impact in healthcare.

With increasing demand for skilled and compassionate nurses across the country, it is vital that future nurses receive the education they need to be fully prepared to work in a variety of healthcare settings - the emergency room, intensive care, rehabilitation and beyond.
BW's nursing program offers two options to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - a traditional four-year undergraduate bachelor of science in nursing and a 15-month accelerated bachelor of science nursing (ABSN), for those who have already earned an undergraduate degree.
If you already have a bachelor's degree, Baldwin Wallace's Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) can prepare you for a rewarding new career in only 15 months. BW's ABSN combines classroom rigor with comprehensive clinical rotations. You'll gain leadership, communication and critical thinking skills suited to today's complex healthcare system.
BW's traditional undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing teaches in-demand skills using a concept-based curriculum. Clinical rotations begin during your second year in the program to prepare you for the workforce after graduation.
As a center for innovative nursing education, the mission of the Baldwin Wallace University department of nursing is to provide outstanding learning opportunities for students who desire to acquire evidenced-based knowledge encompassing the art and science of nursing practice. Graduates will assimilate into their respective professional roles and achieve the competencies required, thus contributing to the profession of nursing and well-being of society.
The department of nursing at Baldwin Wallace University was established in 2011 to support the education of individuals seeking to become registered nurses. The initial program offered was a second degree, Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN). The ABSN program was accepted for membership in the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) in 2013.
The Baldwin Wallace University nursing program was accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) in April 2014. This accreditation was extended to 2028. The program received Full Operating Approval from the Ohio Board of Nursing in September 2014 which since has been extended to September 2024.
In 2021, the department of nursing introduced the traditional 4-year track of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
