Message from the Graduate Dean

It is my honor to serve as the dean of graduate studies and research at Baldwin Wallace University. On behalf of BW, I want to thank you for considering our graduate programs.

Baldwin Wallace was one of the first universities in the United States to emphasize applied education and professional excellence, which is exemplified in our graduate programs. Our graduate students are essential assets throughout Northeast Ohio, as evidenced by the fact that every Fortune 500 company in Ohio employs BW alumni.

BW offers you an outstanding opportunity for professional growth through one of our highly focused and respected programs, including accounting, nursing, physician assistant, public health, speech-language pathology, Master of Business Administration (MBA), leadership in higher education, Master of Education and a wide range of graduate certificate programs.

With over 30 graduate programs across business, education and healthcare, each program offers the knowledge, skills and credentials that are vital in your field and ensures that you gain practical applications, analytical skills, ethical reasoning and problem-solving strategies. Our graduate students become lifelong learners and teachers who apply their knowledge on issues of social significance and build career pathways from the moment they enroll in programs and take advantage of student-focused resources.

Our curriculum explores concepts, skills and practices that move academic knowledge from textbooks and research articles into action, enriching current practice, policy and social discourse in the process.

BW faculty members are renowned scholars and practitioners as well as passionate mentors. However, they also understand that scholars must make their work usable and accessible beyond traditional academic disciplines in today's knowledge-driven world. We support the success of all graduate students through a commitment to the advancement of graduate education and opportunities to gain leadership experiences. I also encourage graduate students to take advantage of campus life, from football games to music theatre performances, as well as BW student services.

I am excited about the possibilities ahead of us. Although challenges may come our way, the office of graduate studies & research, our graduate program directors, faculty members and staff are ready and available to assist prospective and current students. As a proud first-generation graduate and immigrant, I am deeply committed to sharing our culture of inclusivity. The office of graduate studies & research is here to help drive progress and ensure your success every step of the way.

I look forward to welcoming you into one of BW's graduate programs.
