Next Steps for Degree Completion Students

As soon as you have been admitted to BW, your BW username and email account are created. Your username grants you access to new and continuing updates regarding any financial information that is sent exclusively to your BW email. Please retrieve your username at your earliest convenience at admission.bw.edu/apply/status and follow the instructions to set the password for your new BW email address. You will need the mobile phone associated with your BW application when activating your new BW email. Once set up, please begin monitoring your BW email for important information.

Accessing BW Email Once You Have Retrieved Your BW Username

Access your BW email account: email.bw.edu

1. Complete your FAFSA. The first step to apply for financial aid is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The application is available each October before the following fall term. Eligibility for financial aid is determined annually based on information contained in the FAFSA.
   * BW's federal code number for FAFSA is 003014.
2. Complete any other forms requested by the financial aid office promptly to avoid any delays in receiving financial assistance.
3. Confirm your enrollment and complete an enrollment worksheet if needed. To expedite access to your BW Offer Letter, we estimated your enrollment for the remainder of the academic year at halftime enrollment or 6 credit hours per semester. If you plan on taking something other than 6 credit hours per semester, please fill out the Enrollment Worksheet.

Accessing the Financial Aid Self-Service Portal

Once you've retrieved your BW username, log in to myrecords.bw.edu, click on Financial Aid. This will allow you to review your financial aid status, submit forms, etc.

If your employer is helping to finance your education, you can choose to sign up for the Tuition Reimbursement Payment Plan (TRPP) to pay your tuition at the end of the semester when your employer tuition benefit is available. Download and complete the TRPP forms. Students may be asked to verify employment if their company participates in a partnership program with BW.
