Linda G. Kanner teaches courses in entrepreneurship, marketing and consumer behavior. In fall 2018, Kanner took on a new position as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Baldwin Wallace University, where she will coach BW entrepreneurs on their ventures and spread awareness of innovation and entrepreneurship across campus. In addition to her work on BW's campus, she also serves on the ECDI Cleveland Advisory Board and volunteers at the Women's Business Center of Northern Ohio.
Kanner's diverse career as a consultant, entrepreneur and former partner in Phillips Syrup LLC, has provided her with well-rounded, real-life experiences and an in-depth understanding of the challenges entrepreneurs face as they start and scale-up a business. She is a passionate problem-solver and coaches clients to strategize, analyze costs, create pricing models and set goals for profitable growth.
Kanner brings over 25 years of manufacturing and innovation expertise to Baldwin Wallace. Most recently she served as vice president of Phillips Syrup, a Cleveland-based food manufacturing company, responsible for operations and international marketing. She also brings her knowledge and expertise from previous time spent working for Fortune 500 companies.
Prior to owning Phillips Syrup, Kanner was an intrapreneur and held various management positions in large telecommunications companies (Emerson/RELTEC, Northern Telecom and USWest) where she was responsible for new product development and market segment growth. As a market research reporter at OTR Global she captured customer insights and developed an appreciation for the Voice of the Customer (VoC) approach to business.
