Student Employment Opportunities

Baldwin Wallace University student positions are open to all full-time undergraduate students both with and without federal work study eligibility. Priority hiring is given to federal work study eligible students during the first four weeks of the academic year.

Student positions are posted in Handshake and incoming new students will have accounts created in Handshake in the beginning of August.

Students seeking on-campus employment are required to complete all new hire employment and payroll forms prior to beginning work on campus.

The forms to be completed in the Student Employment Center are:

  1. Federal W-4 tax form.
  2. State of Ohio IT-4 tax form.
  3. Federal I-9 form: This form will require you to bring in original forms of identification (no photocopies or pictures accepted). The most commonly used forms of ID are:
    1. U.S. Passport OR
    2. A photo ID AND a Social Security card OR
    3. A photo ID AND a birth certificate (Full list of acceptable documents here)
  4. Direct deposit form (you will need your bank account and routing numbers).

Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the student can schedule an appointment to complete the employment forms here.

Student Eligibility for Employment

Federal work study is a funded Title IV program. As such, the purpose of the program is to provide part-time employment opportunities to full-time undergraduate students with demonstrated financial need in order to assist them in the pursuit of a college education. In addition, student employment can provide an opportunity to learn time and money management, develop and refine career readiness skills and pursue future career interests.
