Berea ranked among 'Most Beautiful College Towns in Ohio'

Beauty is just the latest of many reasons BW's campus location offers an exceptional advantage for students.

The campus of Baldwin Wallace University is known for a gorgeous mix of historic buildings and high-tech centers, lush trees and flowers, brick walkways and iconic towers.

That beauty, in combination with the "adorable" surrounding town, prompted World Atlas to recognize Berea  as one of the nine "Most Beautiful College Towns In Ohio."

Front Street, which serves as Berea's Main Street, lives up to a typical college town's "eclectic mix of community, culture, and collegiate pride."

In addition to a vibrant, "walkable downtown corridor (that) provides access to quaint hangouts," World Atlas notes that city and county parks, rooted in the city's quarrying history and within walking distance of campus, add to the allure.

"This western Cleveland suburb houses Baldwin Wallace University and boasts a rich heritage of grindstone manufacturing that once earned it the nickname "Grindstone Capital of the World." Today, people come to soak in its spectacular outdoor scenery from the Berea Falls Scenic Overlook. This adorable vantage point delivers unmatched views of the raging waters flowing down the Rocky River course."

Safety, Sports and Big City Access

The publication also notes the impact of Yellow Jacket college sports facilities on the town, taking particular note of George Finnie Stadium, which "provides a 7,800-capacity state-of-the-art sporting facility where spectators enjoy college football, lacrosse, and track events."

BW has long touted the benefits of calling Berea, Ohio, home, from the "Safest College Towns in America" top ten ranking by research.com to the incredible access to internships and collaboration with nearby businesses in the big city of Cleveland.
