BW families unite for welcoming weekend

YJ4L spirit was on full display for this year's Parent & Family Weekend — a celebration of great food, fun and festivity for cherished members of our campus community.

The two-day event, Oct. 27-28, included a myriad of campus activities — academic showcase, symphony orchestra concert, tailgate lunch, football and soccer, and Choose Your Own Adventure social events that ranged from Painting with a Twist to Mix-n-Mingle Bonfire to Last Call Team Trivia to Haunted BW Tour.

Smiles, laughter and joy said it all as families posed for selfies, and Brown & Gold swag became the fashion statement of the day. From parents who hadn't seen their students since move-in day to legacy families who have made BW their alma mater for several generations, the special weekend was an opportunity to meet new people, renew friendships and create lasting memories. Approximately 550 people participated in this year's Parent & Family Weekend, which was highlighted by a Yellow Jacket football win 59-35 against the Capital University Comets.
