Richard Biever, Director
"Assassins" is a daring musical which portrays notorious historical figures who attempted (successfully or not) to assassinate presidents of the United States.
The show reveals a chilling yet provocative reflection on ambition, violence and American ideals. A bold, unsettling, and darkly entertaining musical, "Assassins" asks: What does the pursuit of the American Dream look like from history's most infamous outcasts?
"Assassins" is based on an idea by Charles Gilbert, Jr. Playwrights Horizons, Inc. - New York City produced "Assassins" Off-Broadway in 1990. Orchestrations by Michael Starobin.
"Assassins" is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI www.mtishows.com.
