Burrell Observatory Lecture Series
Live Fast, Die Young: The Meteoric Rise of Giant Galaxies
The Burrell Observatory is proud to host an open house program as part of the Reinhold and Margaret Kader Memorial Lecture Series.
Dr. Rachel Bezanson, professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Pittsburgh, will present a lecture on the meteoric rise of giant galaxies. Recent images from the James Webb Telescope have revealed galaxies in the early universe much larger than the current theory predicted.
After the lecture, the observatory will be open for viewing, weather permitting.
The event is free and open to the public; however, tickets are required, and donations are always appreciated.
