Dances Transformed: Orchestral Dances Reimagined for Two Pianos
Professors Sungeun Kim and Robert Mayerovitch, longtime colleagues and playing partners at the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Performing Arts, share an evening of pieces conceived for symphony orchestra.
Since they are mere mortals, they've chosen not to even pretend to be large ensembles but rather will offer versions of these colorful, lyrical, dramatic, and especially rhythmic works by Joan Tower, Leonard Bernstein, and Maurice Ravel for 176 keys distributed between two Steinway pianos.
The event is free and open to the public.
No tickets required.
