BW Athletics Reverse Raffle

The long-standing tradition of the Reverse Raffle is the signature fundraiser for BW Athletics. All proceeds from the event are invested in projects that support current and future scholar-athletes, ensuring they have the resources to succeed in the classroom, in competition and after commencement.

Enjoy activities, including $5 and $10 sideboards, skill games & contests, raffle baskets, liquor baskets, the Hall of Framers silent auction and more!

What is a Reverse Raffle?

Just what it sounds like! In a traditional raffle, the first ticket pulled wins the prize. In a reverse raffle, the LAST ticket pulled wins the prize.

The BW Department of Athletics and Recreation sells 200 tickets, and all 200 tickets are pulled until we get to the last, winning ticket.

When there are only five remaining tickets, the Reverse Raffle Committee presents the representatives with the opportunity to either split the pot or choose to continue drawing tickets until there is only one grand-prize winner.

Those possessing a "raffle-only" ticket (non-attendee) are contacted via phone, while those in attendance are called to the stage to decide.

1st Place Prize: $4,000
2nd Place Prize: $2,000

Rules of entry

• Winner(s) need NOT be present to win. 
• All entrants and winner(s) must provide name, address and contact information.
• Winners are responsible for applicable taxes, if any.

Special Ticket Prizes

• 165th and 180th ticket drawn: payout of $250 each
  Keep the $250, and you are out of the raffle, or give $125 back to re-enter.
  
  
• 110th, 120th, 130th, 140th, and 150th ticket drawn: payout of $100 each
  Keep the $100, and you are out of the raffle, or give $50 back to re-enter.
  
  
• $25 Buybacks to re-enter for numbers 1, 25, 50, 75, 100 ticket pulled.

Super 50/50

Purchase a $20 ticket for a chance to win 50% of tickets sold. Winner need not be present to win.

Donate to our auction & raffle baskets!

Each year, we lean on our generous community of alumni and friends for contributions to our auction and raffle baskets.

Items of interest include, but are not limited to, weekend getaways, airline tickets/miles, sporting/concert tickets, signed memorabilia, electronics, boutique items, restaurant/gift certificates, unique gift baskets and more.

Donors will be featured in our program book and event communications. Items will be prominently displayed at the event for attendees to see.
