Dr. Carrie Davis Todd earned a Bachelor of Arts in geology from Carleton College, a Master of Science in geological sciences from Ohio University and a doctorate in earth and atmospheric sciences from Purdue University. Todd’s research interests focus on changing surface water characteristics as a result of watershed modification. Her most recent projects include a re-analysis of the hydrology of the Johnstown, Pennsylvania flood of 1889 and an investigation of macroinvertebrates along a gradient of acid mine drainage pollution. At BW, Todd is hoping to develop research projects focusing on local hydrologic and geomorphic issues related to urbanization. Todd has taught a variety of geology and geography courses and teaches classes on the dynamic earth and physical geography at BW. She is also interested in geoscience education and uses a variety of teaching methods in her courses.
