Christie A. Needham, CCC-SLP is a professor in the communication disorders program and clinic director for the Baldwin Wallace Speech Clinic. Needham teaches a variety of courses including Introduction to Communication Disorders, Speech and Language Development, Clinical Practice, Anatomy and Physiology of the Speech and Hearing Mechanism, and Clinic Management and Practice. She also works with students doing a variety of clinical work including at the Baldwin Wallace Speech Clinic and Bedford City School District. Needham has also worked side by side with students involved with undergraduate research and creative studies, working with nonverbal children and patients with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, amongst other projects. These projects have combined Needham’s interests with those of students  Alongside her students, Needham has presented at BW Ovation, the Ohio Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Needham is also active in the community of speech-language pathology. Currently she is treasurer for the Ohio Speech-Language-Hearing Association. In the past she has served as consumer liaison for that same organization. Needham is also faculty advisor for the Baldwin Wallace chapter of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
