Tyler Jones

Tyler Jones is the senior associate athletics director of external operations for Northwestern University and brings elite-level experience in sport marketing to Baldwin Wallace University.
At BW, Jones teaches the sport marketing MBA class, where students gain an understanding of various aspects of sport marketing, including market research, promotions, advertising, public relations and sport marketing strategy.
Prior to BW, Jones served as the deputy director of athletics, external operations for Cleveland State University where he led strategic and day-to-day operations of their athletic program, which encompasses 18 sports and more than 300 student-athletes. In his first year at CSU, Jones’s external relations team increased men’s basketball fan attendance by 50%. In addition, while serving as the assistant athletics director for fan engagement at Ohio State University, Jones’s team recorded the highest average attendance in university history in 2017.
Earlier in his career, Jones served as the head of athletics marketing and promotions at Eastern Michigan and was a marketing and sales assistant at the University of Tennessee. Jones has also been heavily engaged in professional development and served for three years on the board for the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA). He attended the D-1A Athletic Directors Institute in 2015 and the NCAA Leadership Institute in 2016.
