Dr. Stephen Dittmore is the dean of the College of Education and Health Sciences at Baldwin Wallace University. Dittmore came to BW from the University of Arkansas (U of A), where he served as associate dean for research, strategy and innovation in the U of A College of Education and Health Professions.

Dittmore holds a Ph.D. in educational leadership and organizational development from the University of Louisville, as well as a master's degree in mass communication and a bachelor's degree in journalism from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

He has had varied experiences as a higher education administrator and faculty member and is a nationally recognized thought leader on intercollegiate athletic administration as assistant editor for AthleticDirectorU.

Dittmore served in administrative and faculty roles at U of A since 2013, teaching in the recreation and sport management program and earning the rank of full professor in 2018. He previously taught at East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania, the University of Louisville in Kentucky and Wichita State University in Kansas.

He was one of four representatives from the University of Arkansas who was chosen as a fellow for the Southeastern Conference Academic Leadership Development Program for the 2021-22 academic year.
