Recreation and Fitness
Ready to get moving? BW's Lou Higgins Recreation Center provides the campus community with a fitness center, dance studio, swimming pool, volleyball courts, racquetball courts, indoor batting cage, weight room, basketball courts, and more.
Health & Counseling Services
Health services, since 2024, has partnered with Southwest General Medical Group (SGMG) to administer services to students using a primary care model. Students who choose to use SGMG services may opt to use their health insurance or SGMG’s self-pay plan. Students can access same-day care at three Southwest General Medical Group locations. Please bring your ID and health insurance card to your visit.
BW students also have access to MobileMD, which offers personalized on-campus visits for subscribers. Students can call or book online with a MobileMD provider, who will visit campus on demand to care for colds, strep, flu, injuries, physicals, and more.
BW's counseling services include individual and group counseling, psycho-educational workshops and outreach events to help students get the most out of their college experience. BW also partners with national providers of telemedicine behavioral health services. Students have access to these services free of charge.
Students can access a counselor on call 24/7 by calling (440) 260-4399. The service is available through a partnership with ProtoCall, one of the nation's leading providers of telephonic behavioral health services.
We CARE About Wise Choices
BW's Center for Awareness, Resilience and Education (CARE) plans educational activities and resources to encourage healthy choices that keep Baldwin Wallace students safe and make responsible choices related to sex, drugs, alcohol and other wellness issues.
