Lab Included.   An intro to some of the physical features of the earth and their significance in relation to the activities and problems of humans in the modern world.  An intro to the study of geography as a discipline.

DAY - 6 WK - SESSION 2

Core Academic Skills: Writing and Problem Solving
A non- lab course dealing with those aspects of the solar system that can be studied with a geological perspective.  It is largely concerned with the surface features of planets and their satellites as well as with the chemical, mineralogical and structural aspects of these bodies and of meteorites.

WEEKEND - 8 WK - REDUCED CONTACT HOURS

Core Academic Skills: Writing and Problem Solving
No lab.  Course provides an opportunity for the student to develop an understanding  of geologic processes and features while utilizing a nearby resource, the Rocky River Valley.  Considerable information will be provided online as well as in lecture.  The student should be prepared to spend time in the Metroparks  (outdoors) and have access to the Internet.
