Antioxidants, such as Vitamin C, are substances that help protect healthy cells against infection and diseases. The body does not make vitamin C, nor can it store it. Nutrition experts recommend including a variety of vitamin C-rich foods in your diet every day. Foods that tend to be best sources include citrus fruits and juices, strawberries, tomatoes, broccoli, leafy greens, and cantaloupes.
