Favorite quote: “You miss 100 percent of the shots you never take.” - Wayne Gretzky

Biggest mistake as a first-year student? What did you learn? Not getting involved enough. I did not manage my time well and missed a lot of opportunities. I learned to prioritize my time to make sure I make the most of my time at BW. I am now involved in many things that I love, and I really enjoy my time here.

How did you choose your major? My professor really helped with making my decision. My current advisor, Dr. Shively, is a fantastic teacher and really made me fall in love with chemistry. He cares about his students so much and really knows how to convey the information to us. I did not mind my other classes, but I always looked forward to going to his class to learn.

What has been your best experience at BW? Joining my fraternity. Coming to Baldwin Wallace, I did not know anyone. I wanted to find a group of like-minded individuals and found my second family. The memories we have made will be cherished for the rest of my life. They have supported me through good and bad times and helped me mature. They have given me opportunities I would have never been able to find.

Favorite spot on campus? North Quad during warm weather. People come from all over campus and have a wonderful time. It is nice to relax for a bit, since everyone is studying all the time.

Best piece of advice given to you? Remember to take time for yourself and enjoy college. Don't constantly be in your books. Enjoy your youth and make the most of it.

One thing you want the incoming students to know as they get ready for their summer orientation experience? Put yourself out there! Get out of your comfort zone and make the most of the time you have during orientation. You will meet a lot of amazing people, and you'll be able to do a lot of cool things on campus.
