Biggest mistake as a first-year student? What did you learn? My biggest mistake was not getting involved in any organizations my first semester. It really helps to get involved in organizations right away, so you are able to network and meet a lot of people. Many end up sticking with you through your college career.

How did you choose your major? I have always had a passion for politics, and I really enjoyed studying how American government worked in high school. I am determined to become president of the United States, and I figured this was the best major to choose for that dream!

What has been your best experience at BW? The best experience I have had a BW so far is becoming student body president. I am able to meet and work with so many students and help make campus a better place to be everyday.

Favorite spot on campus? My favorite spot on campus is the front of the student union. In my opinion, Strosacker Hall is one of the most beautiful buildings on this campus, and it’s amazing to look at from the front.

Best piece of advice given to you? The best piece of advice my parents and family gave me was to make sure I focus on my academics and follow my dreams.

One thing you want the incoming students to know as they get ready for their summer orientation experience? Summer orientation is a great experience. It requires you to step out of your comfort zone somewhat in a positive way and meet new friends. Just be your true self and learn while having fun!
