Deep-dive research yields big benefits

photo of neuroscience student Patrick WollerFor 10 weeks they researched, navigated and broke new ground in their studies. They challenged themselves and others to develop new viewpoints as they worked together on projects that were real-world focused and relevant to their studies.

As this year's 10 Summer Scholars near the end of the program, they are a step ahead in gaining the insights and experiences that can prepare them for future endeavors, such as graduate school or a career.

Summer Scholars is an annual cohort program that enables students to pursue a research or creative project of their own design under the supervision of a faculty mentor. The scholars live together on campus and share their research with one another.
