Economics and creative writing major Erin Amschlinger '14 has a budding career at American Greetings as a humor writer.

Savvy storyteller weaves wit with wisdom

For economics and creative writing major Erin Amschlinger '14, her career success was without a doubt in the cards. Literally.

A humor writer with American Greetings, Amschlinger spent her undergraduate studies building an impressive resume and career portfolio of experiences that showcased her analytical and creative skills.

Photo of a card Among her activities were the BW Honors Program, Center for Innovation & Growth, and study abroad trips to Spain and China. Also beneficial to her success were creative writing workshops sponsored by the English department.

"The interdisciplinary education I received at Baldwin Wallace helped prepare me for the role of writing to an audience of various backgrounds, cultures and age groups," she noted.

The Rocky River resident said she has written cards under the Marvel, Star Wars and Disney licenses in addition to her work at American Greetings (pictured here). She also has extended her writing talents to other creative projects.
