Cleveland Metroparks appoints BW business grad Bill Chorba as CFO

Bill Chorba appointed Cleveland Metroparks CFONortheast Ohio's award-winning, 23,000 acre "Emerald Necklace" has welcomed a BW business administration graduate to its executive management team. Bill Chorba '92 recently joined the Cleveland Metroparks as chief financial officer (CFO).

Metroparks CEO Brian M. Zimmerman said, "Bill brings a strong and diverse financial background to the Cleveland Metroparks and will provide responsible oversight and stewardship of public dollars as we continue to remain debt-free."

Chorba's duties as CFO will include managing the payroll, audits, budgets and other financial needs of the agency, which accounts for 18 park reservations, eight golf courses, eight lakefront parks and the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.

To accomplish this large portfolio of tasks, Chorba brings expertise from an accomplished career, most recently as CFO with NineSigma, a Beachwood-based business specializing in open innovation and problem-solving.

Chorba was named a Crain's Cleveland Business CFO of the Year in 2011 and is a past chair of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.
