U.S. News & World Report has once again named Baldwin Wallace University among the best colleges in the nation. In addition to a top 20 ranking on the "Best in the Midwest" list—a distinction BW has earned for 24 straight years—the 2018 "America's Best Colleges" survey also distinguishes BW as a "Best Value" and "Best for Veterans."

The newly released U.S. News report places BW among the leading regional universities, ranking number 18 out of more than 100 schools named as "Best in the Midwest." The US News Rankings affirm BW's "Top College" rankings by Forbes and Money magazine and a Princeton Review "Best Midwestern Colleges" recognition for schools that are "academically outstanding and well worth consideration in your college search."

Affordable Excellence

Baldwin Wallace University U.S. News also calculated "Best Value" schools within each category for a 2018 "Great Schools, Great Prices" list, and recognized BW for affordable excellence. The calculation considers both academic quality and net cost based on average need-based financial aid.

The magazine explains, "the higher the quality of the program and the lower the cost, the better the deal." U.S. News only includes schools on the top half of each quality list "because U.S. News considers the most significant values to be among colleges that perform well academically."

The U.S. News "Best Value" badge also follows a "Best Bang for the Buck" ranking from Washington Monthly magazine which is focused on social mobility. Washington Monthly analyzes data on net price and earnings outcomes to create a "list of schools that help non-wealthy students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices."

Committed to Veterans

Finally, BW's commitment to the educational goals of military veterans and active-duty service members is reflected in the inclusion on the U.S. News list of "Best Colleges for Veterans." The ranking recognizes, among other factors, BW's participation in the Yellow Ribbon Program.

BW's strong Military and Veteran Support Team provides help navigating the process of admission, financial aid, academic advising, career services and certification of enrollment. Listed as a Military Friendly School by GI Jobs since 2008, BW also offers credit for military training and a student-veteran organization for peer support.
