BW Circle K was highly decorated at state convention again this year

BW's Circle K service club was highly decorated at the annual Ohio District convention, earning Best Club in Ohio for the 6th straight year and 14 individual awards.

BW Circle K Service Club Celebrates Sixth Consecutive Year as Best Ohio Chapter

BW Circle K was highly decorated at state convention once again this year.

BW's Circle K International Service Club enjoyed another year of impressive honors and awards at the 60th annual Ohio District Circle K Convention. For the sixth consecutive year, BW's chapter received The Daniel J. Romanello Achievement Award, presented to the best Circle K club in the state of Ohio.

In addition to this award, club members were recognized with a total of 14 individual awards in nearly every category.

Individual leadership awards included: 1st Place Outstanding President to Holly Taylor, 3rd Place Outstanding Vice President to Olivia Pollack, 3rd Place Outstanding Secretary to Emily Johnson, 3rd Place Outstanding Treasurer to Rachel Johnson, 1st Place P.A.C.E. Newsletter Award to Rachel Smith, 2nd Place Outstanding Member to Julie Washko, 2nd Place Outstanding New Member to Nia Gatewood, 2nd Place Outstanding Family Achievement to Kyle Martinez and 1st Place Leadership to Holly Taylor.

In addition, Circle K President Holly Taylor was awarded Outstanding Committee Chair-Ohio District and received the Alumni Association Scholarship for $500. 

BW also received 1st Place Kiwanis Family Award and 1st Place Outstanding Scrapbook Award. Berea Kiwanis was awarded 1st Place Outstanding Kiwanis Sponsors Club for their dedication and devotion to the BW organization. BW's thriving Circle K group is also mentored by two active advisors, BW biology professor Dr. Karen Munroe and director of student life Robin Gagnow, who also earned a 1st Place Outstanding Kiwanis Award at this year's state convention.
