Kevin Kaufhold takes the oath of office as BW student body presidentStudents at Baldwin Wallace University elected the school’s 105th student body president and vice president. The winning slate of President Kevin Kaufhold ’18 from Olmsted Township, Ohio and Vice President Olivia Murphy ’18 from Johnstown, Penn. took the oath of office on Tuesday, Feb. 21.

Kaufhold, a graduate of Olmsted Falls High School, is a political science major, a brother and executive board member of Pi Lambda Phi fraternity and previously served as president of the BW Student Senate and chair of the Senate Rules Committee.

"I am very excited and eager to begin working on the initiatives we talked about during the campaign," Kaufhold said. “We will work hard to represent and be the voice of the student body." 

Murphy, a graduate of Bishop McCort Catholic High School, is an international studies major, resident assistant (RA), a sister of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, and member of the BW Honors Program and Student Giving Council. Her past student government service includes student senator and chair of the Senate Academics Committee.

"I am extremely excited and honored," Murphy said. "Kevin and I are looking forward to working with the administration, student government and student body as we progress in initiatives that will focus on making Baldwin Wallace a university that will challenge all of its community members to strive to become the best versions of themselves academically, socially, physically, mentally and professionally."
