Alumna Launches Fitness FranchiseAs the New Year kicks off with a renewed dedication to fitness, Baldwin Wallace entrepreneurship MBA graduate Jennifer Haas recently launched her own franchise of the national fitness and health business, Orangetheory Fitness, in Indianapolis. 

Creating Strong Community Ties

Through inclusive marketing strategies, Haas says she created local ties and made the franchise more personal for patrons. By placing orange, spray-painted bicycles all across Indianapolis, she garnered attention and a community connection to the fitness program. 

Haas told Indy Star, “Knowing I’m providing a service that literally has the potential to change people’s lives for the better is a great feeling. Being in control of my own destiny is also very cool.”

Haas says Orangetheory Fitness stands out from competitors because they franchise creates a sense of community in the gym while integrating science-based technology into the fitness program.

Haas, who earned an MBA in entrepreneurship from BW said, “A solid background in general business and management has certainly helped me.”

“My goal is to own and operate the best fitness studio in Indianapolis! If I can do that, I’ll have made it. Then I’m going to take a vacation.”
