This year's concert had to be moved to a larger studio to accommodate the large live audience and there are plenty of chances to hear a replay.

BW Men’s Chorus Makes Third Annual Holiday Appearances on Radio and TV

mens-chorus-holiday-group-previewThe talented Baldwin Wallace University Men’s Chorus continued what has become an annual tradition, performing a selection of holiday music at the for Northeast Ohio broadcast audiences on WCLV radio, WCPN radio and WVIZ television.

The repertoire was billed as a “holiday potpourri [that] included many of the selections that are heard at the group's immensely popular annual holiday concert [at BW].” 

The chorus, under the direction of Frank Bianchi, includes BW students, faculty, alumni and members of the community, ages high school and up, and performs a wide variety of chorale literature written especially for the male voice.

Popular Concert Rebroadcasts 

mens-chorus-holiday-video-player-previewFor viewers and listeners who missed the original broadcasts of classic carols and holiday favorites, WCLV scheduled a rebroadcast of the entire third annual performance on Thursday, Dec. 24 at 6 p.m., with excerpts of the concert scheduled to air on the WVIZ/PBS program Applause, Thursday, Dec. 24 at 7:30pm; Friday, December 25 at 11pm; and Saturday, Dec. 26 at 4 p.m. 

Director Bianchi visited with WCLV afternoon drive-time host Bill O'Connell prior to the live concert broadcast, which had to be moved into the large Westfield Insurance Studio at the Idea Center to accommodate the growing studio audience. The group also sold-out two live holiday concerts at BW.

Bianchi told O'Connell that the chorus presents an opportunity for male singers to enjoy a “college glee club experience for life.”
