US News & World Report Best CollegesFor the 22nd straight year, Baldwin Wallace University has earned a top tier placement in "America's Best Colleges” published by U.S. News & World Report. Meanwhile, another ranking service, measuring value, lists BW as Ohio’s most affordable private university.

“Best in the Midwest”

The 2016 U.S. News survey places BW among the leading regional universities, ranking number 13 out of more than 100 schools named to the 2016 Midwest’s Best list.

"The U.S. News endorsement is an acknowledgement of the BW community’s commitment to intentional excellence,” said BW President Robert Helmer. "Our students, faculty, staff and alumni work together to make BW a place where success is supported and celebrated every day.”

"Best For Veterans”

BW’s commitment to the educational goals of military veterans and active-duty service members also landed the University on the U.S. News list of “Best Colleges for Veterans.” The ranking recognizes, among other factors, BW’s participation in the Yellow Ribbon Program.

BW’s strong Military and Veteran Support Team, coordinated by Army veteran Randy Stevenson, provides help navigating the process of admission, financial aid, academic advising, career services and certification of enrollment. Listed as a Military Friendly School by GI Jobs since 2008, BW also offers credit for military training and a student-veteran organization for peer support.

Ohio's Most Affordable Private

While the U.S. News lists affirm quality, a new ranking recognizes BW as Ohio’s most affordable private. The College Affordability Guide ranks BW 2nd (behind Ohio State) on its short list of the 2015 Most Affordable Colleges in Ohio—public or private.

Saying its rankings aim “to focus attention on the very best options from an affordability standpoint,” The College Affordability Guide's methodology considers overall value. “We focus not only on the financial cost of colleges, but on the opportunity cost: we look at what happens to students once they’re enrolled. Do they graduate? Can they pay back their loans?”

"Affordability matters to our students and their families," said Helmer. "BW is able to provide exceptional value through robust merit and need-based financial aid packages and programs like our Four-Year Graduation Guarantee."
