Connecting Through Volunteerism

As a partner in education, you are a key part of our BW community. We welcome your involvement. Being a volunteer is an excellent way to familiarize yourself with the campus and meet people.

Admission Recruitment Team

You can make a big impact on BW's future by attending Admission events and college fairs on our behalf, speaking with prospective students and their parents, and/or hosting or helping staff a student reception. For more information, email admission@bw.edu.

BW Career Mentoring By Handshake

Career Services offers an online networking program through the BW Career Network by Handshake. Students can connect with experts in their career path or area of study. Handshake career mentors share advice about industries, grad school, networking and more. Students also can request informational interviews or job shadowing opportunities. You can help by volunteering to be a career mentor.

BW Annual Fund Parent Representative

Volunteers of the BW Annual Fund assist with the stewardship of alumni, parents and friends. Parents can be a key part of our Annual Fund activities by thanking fellow parents (via letter, email or phone) for their financial support to the University or by helping out with direct mail appeals. There are a number of positions available and the time commitment is minimal. If interested, please email bwannual@bw.edu.

Parent Council

The group is an advisory organization comprised of parents of current BW students. Parents may volunteer to serve on the council or be asked by a member of the BW administration. The Parent Council provides ideas, suggestions and feedback regarding potential improvements, alternative ideas for operations or programs, or concerns of families of current or prospective students at BW. For further information, please contact Trina Dobberstein, vice president for student affairs, at tdobbers@bw.edu or (440) 826-2111.
