Also known as "The Secret Marriage," this masterpiece of Italian comic opera tells the story of Carolina and Paolino who secretly married in opposition of her father, the greedy Geronimo. Paolino tries to win Geronimo's acceptance by engineering a marriage between Geronimo's older daughter and a wealthy English count. Hilarity ensues when the count falls in love with Carolina instead.
