Flute Ensemble

A 10-week flute ensemble experience for students in grades 7 to 12.

Flute ensemble emphasizes a full resonant tone and group skill-building. Students are taken on a musical journey focusing on technique, rhythm and musicianship.

Flute ensemble is divided into two groups that meet at overlapping times. This schedule enables students of various levels to progress efficiently while providing opportunities for both groups to work together on skill building and ensemble playing.

A final recital will include pieces of varying difficulty for both experienced players as well as students who are developing basic musicianship and technique.

New flute ensemble students will have a placement hearing prior to the first rehearsal and will be notified of their group assignment on January 19.
