Biography:
B.A. from Haverford College, Haverford, PA
M.A. from New York University, New York, NY

What have you learned while teaching at B-W?:
I’ve learned that everyday is a new opportunity for learning and growth…both for myself and for the students.

What inspired you to get into college teaching?:
When I was in college, I got really excited about what I was learning (especially in art history and architecture) and I wanted to share that love and enthusiasm with students, and introduce them to something new and exciting, just as I was in college.

Describe the ways in which you mentor students interested in your department:
I’m always available to meet with students in my office. I also lead trips to the Cleveland Museum of Art and conduct walking tours of downtown Cleveland to study the architecture. I’m also the co-director of the Seminar in Europe, a 6-week trip to Europe, including Greece, Italy, Germany, France and Great Britain. I also try to relate my personal experience in the field of art history and tell them, “yes, it’s possible to have a career in this field”

If you weren't teaching what would you be doing?:
I would probably be involved with writing and translation.

What do students like best about your class?:
The love and enthusiasm that I bring to the subject matter
