Post-Secondary

Enrollment Options Program

Admission Criteria

The Post-Secondary Enrollment Options Program at Baldwin Wallace University is a selective program open to high school students planning to participate during their high school career. Limited space is available for qualified applicants who meet all state regulations.

Junior and senior applicants for the program must have the following minimum requirements for consideration:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better
  • ACT composite score of 24 or combined SAT Critical Reading/Math of 1100 (equivalent scores for the PLAN or PSAT also will be accepted).

Freshmen and sophomores who meet the following minimum requirements will be considered for participation:

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.9 or better
  • ACT composite score of 24 or combined SAT Critical Reading/Math of 1100 (equivalent scores for the PLAN or PSAT also will be accepted).

Home Schooled Students
Home schooled students must be enrolled in an eligible school in order to participate in the Post- Secondary Enrollment Options Program. Whether or not the student must attend classes at the high school is determined by his or her individual school district. Home schooled students not enrolled in a school that is recognized by the Ohio Department of Education are not eligible to participate in PSEOP Option B, but can participate in Option A.

Course Load Requirements and Restrictions
Baldwin Wallace University reserves the right to limit the number of credit hours a PSEOP student may enroll in each semester. The limits are as follows:

  • Seniors may enroll in up to 3 courses per semester
  • Juniors may enroll in up to 2 courses per semester
  • Freshmen and Sophomores may enroll in 1 course per semester

These are the Baldwin Wallace University course maximums for PSEOP students. However, each high school district may have their own rules for PSEOP participation or course restriction. Students also need to meet course prerequisites, e.g. placement scores for a math or foreign language course. Students are not guaranteed enrollment in any specific course through Baldwin Wallace University. Course enrollment will be affected by a number of factors, including: the number of seats available in a course, the time that courses are offered during the day or restrictions placed by academic departments  (At no time may a PSEO student be classified as a full-time BW student).
