Serving students in the following areas: I work with graduate and professional studies students.

My hometown: Madison, Ohio

What makes BW distinctive for me?

BW is a welcoming environment that offers the opportunity to be yourself, and at the same time grow as a person. In my time here as a student and employee, I have never felt the need to change or disguise aspects of myself. Through opportunities here, I have become the person and professional I am today.

What is the most interesting place I have visited?

San Sabastian in Jalisco, Mexico. It is an old town built in the 1600s. Such cool history and architecture!

What do I love most about Berea and Cleveland?

One of my absolute favorite places is located right here in Cleveland, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I could go every weekend and always be fascinated by all the amazing artifacts and music history. I also really enjoy the Metroparks. As far as Berea, my favorite aspect is the quaint and safe feel of a small town, while still having plenty to do in and around the area.

Where would I still like to visit that I haven’t already?

Too many to list! I will go with my international top choices: Ireland, Italy, Thailand and Australia.

If I could meet any historical figure, who would it be and why?

Jane Fonda. She has always been fearlessly outspoken in her beliefs and continues to partake in social justice efforts and activism, well into her 80s.

What is my favorite movie?

Almost Famous or Bohemian Rhapsody.

What am I currently reading in my spare time?

The Killer in the Attic: And More True Tales of Crime and Disaster from Cleveland’s Past. I am a huge true crime and mystery person. This book was given to me as a Christmas present and is so interesting.

What song can’t I get out of my head right now?

Leather and Lace by Stevie Nicks.

My message to prospective students thinking about the value of graduate degree and BW:

Take the jump! I didn’t start my college career at BW but I am so glad it is where I ended up. I often tell people it is one of my best decisions to date and I would not be where I am today without BW.
