Orthopedic Assessment and Treatment Minor

Department of Allied Health, Sport and Wellness
(440) 826-3175

Strong academics and practical learning experiences are at the core of orthopedic assessment and treatment.

The integrative minor addresses orthopedic evaluation and treatment that includes, but is not limited to, body mechanics, emergency techniques, injury assessment, treatment and methodology.

You’ll develop psychomotor clinical evaluation skills as well as gain an appreciation of the team approach to injury management. You’ll learn about the roles and responsibilities of each practitioner within the sports medicine team.

Orthopedic assessment and treatment is well suited to pre-allied health/pre-physical therapy, exercise science, pre-medicine and other majors where a knowledge base of musculoskeletal injury is useful.*

*Students majoring in athletic training cannot minor in orthopedic assessment and treatment.
