How to Apply for a Passport

As a first time applicant you will need to apply for your passport in person. For details on how to apply and for the application visit, http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/first/first_830.html

 You can also apply for your passport during our annual Explorations/Study Abroad Fair. To apply, you need to submit the following

  • Passport Application (completed, but not signed)
  • Certified Birth Certificate*
  • State ID
  • 2 passport photos (can be taken at CVS, Walgreens etc)
  • 2 checks ( to be filled out at time of application)

*A certified birth certificate has a registrar's raised, embossed, impressed or multicolored seal, registrar's signature, and the date the certificate was filed with the registrar's office, which must be within 1 year of your birth. Please note, some short (abstract) versions of birth certificates may not be acceptable for passport purposes.
