Welcome to the Department of Communication Arts & Sciences at Baldwin Wallace University! Our recent name change was incorporated to better represent the majors offered within our department: Broadcast and Media Communication, Communication Disorders, Communication Studies, Public Relations and Film Studies. Through these five diverse majors, we offer courses ranging from Broadcast Programming to Language Disorders to Interpersonal Communication to Film Production.
With over 278 majors, 180 minors, 9 full time faculty, 24 adjunct faculty, and an office manager, we are one of the largest departments on campus.

Mission: The Department of Communication Arts & Sciences recognizes that communication is a significant component of a liberal arts education, human interaction, and contemporary society. The Department offers diverse academic programs which foster the knowledge and skills necessary for effective and ethical communication. By intentionally integrating classroom study with experiential learning opportunities, the Department prepares students for both the entry into a communication profession, as well as, enrollment in graduate education.
