Located at Cleveland State University, the Center sponsors research and events to educate and inspire more women to enter public service.
NEW Leadership Ohio is an initiative of The Ohio State University, co-sponsored by the John Glenn School of Public Affairs and Department of Women's Gender and Sexuality Studies. The purpose of this program is to encourage and empower college-age women to take on public and political leadership roles. NEW Leadership participants spend five days in an intensive program and are given the training and encouragement to run for public office.
Running Start is a non-partisan non-profit organization that encourages high school girls to run for public office. The flagship program is a week-long seminar in Washington, DC for 50 girls that provides hands-on experience in messaging, media, and fundraising.
