License + Master's - Apply
New students enroll in the license+master's program throughout the year, in the fall, spring and summer terms. It is recommended that you apply for admission at least six weeks prior to the term you wish to enroll.
Baldwin Wallace University welcomes each student’s application for admission and will carefully review the academic preparation and achievements of each applicant. During this process, students must provide evidence of their preparation and fit for future success at Baldwin Wallace University consistent with academic standards and code of conduct statements for the University, program, or profession. Candidates for admission are selected based on their academic preparation for a master's program; interview with members of the admission committee; relevant work, community and teaching experience with children and young adults; recommendations from professionals in the field; and personal dispositions/ attributes that support success in an education career. All aspects of an application are considered, and used as the primary means for informing an admission decision. An admission counselor will work with you throughout the application process.
Once your application has been submitted, you will be contacted by the admission office to schedule an interview with members of the admission committee as part of the application process.

Print transcript request forms. Official copies of all undergraduate and graduate college/university transcripts must be mailed directly from each college/university you attended to the BW admission office, including courses that may be recorded on another school's transcript. All coursework attempted is part of your academic record and considered in the application process, even if that coursework is no longer consistent with your academic goals. The admission committee requires a cumulative GPA of 2.6 or above for the licensure only program.
Using the online recommendation form, please provide two recommendations from principals, supervisors, teachers or other persons qualified to evaluate your background and potential to pursue a career in teaching. A printable version of the recommendation is also available, if preferred.
All candidates for the initial licensure program meet with a member of the admission committee to discuss the teacher licensure program and their goals to pursue a career in education. The admission office will contact you to schedule your interview once our application and supporting credentials have been received.
Candidates with a criminal record will not be eligible to complete the teacher licensure programs at Baldwin Wallace University. The education division will not send a student into a school for observation, clinical practice or student teaching if he or she does not have a clear Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCII) report and a clear Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) report.
