Recording Arts Private Lessons

Learn the basics of audio recording from experienced audio engineer, Megan Poletti

Learn how to record, edit, and mix YOUR music.  Lessons will suit each individual's needs, based on what recording software he or she owns at home.  You'll learn terminology, microphone techniques, how to properly record for all kinds of instruments, and editing and mixing techniques.  Students may have an an opportunity to shadow Ms. Poletti during actual Conservatory recording projects.  Textbooks may be a part of the lesson structure, possible course fees may apply.

Megan Poletti is a BW Conservatory alum who is vastly experienced in audio engineering.  Experiences include sound mixing and boom operating for several independent films; recording and mixing live bands for Crooked River Groove, a cable television special; working with musicians to create audition and press CDs; a workshop with Alan Parsons, Engineer for Pink Floyd's "Dark side of the Moon," amongst other credentials; and engineering for live radio broadcasts, concerts, recitals, and studio sessions.

30, 45, and 60-minute lessons are available.
