As director of the MBA in Entrepreneurship and holder of the George Herzog Chair in Free Enterprise, Ven Ochaya provides leadership to these programs by helping create and implement entrepreneurship programs that provide academic value, contribute to economic development and promote experiential learning opportunities for students.
Prior to being named to this position, Ochaya spent 17 years as a visionary leader in Fortune 500 companies. His last five years before coming to BW was at Avery Dennison, where he started as director of Product Technology and Innovation before being promoted to vice president of Research & Development. Prior to that, he spent 12 years at International Paper, where he held several key positions before leaving as manager of innovation for the Consumer Packaging Group.
Ochaya earned his bachelorís degree from St. Edwards University (Austin, Texas), M.S. from the University of Texas (El Paso), Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts (Amherst) and his M.B.A. from Xavier University (Cincinnati, Ohio).
